Patricia Bredin has assiciations with Ennis Co. Clare.   She was raised in Hull and combined singing with her acting career.   She represented Britain in the 1957 “Eurovision Song Contest”.   Her first television credit was in the following year in “Ivanhoe”.   In 1959 she won the lead role in the British comedy “Left, Right and Centre” with Alastair Sim and Ian Carmichael.   She then had lead roles on film over the next few years.   Patricia Bredin replaced Julie Andrews as the Queen in Camelot.   Patricia Bredin moved to Canada and wrote a book entitled “My Fling on the Farm”.
